Privacy Policy

Slip POS is designed to keep the essential shop workflow simple and local. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information Slip handles

Slip processes the information you enter as part of your shop workflow primarily on your device. To provide core functionality, the app may also process subscription and purchase status from Apple and limited device or app information required to operate and improve Slip.

How information is used

Information is used to provide and manage Slip Pro subscription features, restore purchases across devices, support you when you contact us for help, understand how key workflows perform, and improve Slip.

Product analytics

For eligible storefronts outside the EU, EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Slip may use Mixpanel as a product analytics processor. New users see an in-app notice before analytics is enabled. Existing users without a saved choice remain opted out. Analytics is unavailable for excluded or unknown storefronts, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Support.

When enabled, analytics is limited to a random persistent app-installation identifier; iPhone or iPad platform; app version and build; live or tutorial data mode; app session starts; fixed top-level screen identifiers; and time spent on those screens. The identifier lets us count active installations and usage frequency but is not connected to a Slip account, shop profile, or a person's name.

Product analytics does not include shop or employee details, customer contact information, item or order contents, transaction amounts, payment details, receipts, invoices, location, notes, or other free-form content. Automatic event collection, IP-based geolocation, advertising identifiers, advertising, data-broker sharing, and cross-app or cross-website tracking are not used.

Payments and subscriptions

Payment and subscription processing is handled by Apple. Slip does not receive or store your full payment details.

Data sharing

Slip does not sell personal data. Purchase and subscription information is processed through Apple services. When product analytics is enabled, the limited analytics described above is transmitted to and stored in Mixpanel's United States project. Mixpanel processes it as our service provider under its Data Processing Addendum and publishes its Subprocessor List.

Shop data

Operational data created inside Slip is treated as part of your shop workflow. Slip is built around a local-first model, so your core POS data remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

Your choices and deletion

You can stop new product analytics collection at any time in Settings → Support. Analytics information is retained for no longer than 13 months and may be deleted earlier when no longer necessary. To ask about access to or deletion of analytics information, contact us at hello@slippos.app.
